Orchid Collective + Deep Sky Objects - Double Headliner Show

Orchid Collective

Orchid Collective consisting of David O Shea (lead vocals, guitar), Shea Tohill (lead guitar, vocals), Hugh O’Neill (bass, vocals) and Darra Doyle (drums, vocals) have been gigging relentlessly across Ireland, developing their unique sound and quickly making a name for themselves as an unforgettable live act.

Orchid Collective are responsible for creating rousing folk-influenced rock that would resonate with those who are fans of Alt -J, Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver with a touch of Explosions in the Sky. Through their own distinct use of vocal harmonies and searing layers of reverbed guitars; Orchid Collective make themselves known as a band that set themselves apart from their contemporaries, offering a bold new imagining of the indie genre.

Deep Sky Objects

Deep Sky Objects are a three-piece alternative-rock band. The band members include brothers Kevin O'Brien (lead vocals, guitar), Thomas O'Brien (drums and backing vocals) and DD Foley (bass guitar and backing vocals). Deep Sky Objects stemmed from a shared mutual interest in groups such as The Smiths, Interpol and Radiohead.

The band began to record a collection of demos, releases under 'We're Done Falling'. With the completion of five tracks the band mixed their material at 'Sonas Studios' in Killarney. The tracks were then mastered by Ruairi O’Flaherty in Los Angeles.

Since then Deep Sky Objects have recorded their debut self-titled EP 'Deep Sky Objects' in Whitewell Studios with Ciaran O'Shea. The EP was subsequently mastered by Fergal Davis. 'Deep Sky Objects' received great feedback from fans and reviewers, being played on stations such as Today FM, Spin SW and Cork's 96 FM. Deep Sky Objects continued to tour Ireland and the UK throughout 2017/18

In March 2018 Deep Sky Objects released their first single from the EP titled ‘This City’s at War’ which received great reception from fans and media. It was featured on Today FM, RTE 2FM, and many regional stations throughout the country. As well as airplay Deep Sky Objects also had numerous live radio sessions with Cork’s 96FM, RedFM and KCLR. On the back of ‘This City’s at War’ the band toured Ireland, playing venues such as Whelan's, Roisin Dubh and IMRO Best Live Venue award-winning Mike the Pies. The band also had the opportunity to support great acts including Mother’s Cake, Columbia Mills, Brian Deady and The Polecats.
